I've been keeping busy with the knitting lately - just finished another newsboy-style cap, this one for S., in the same hemp yarn I used to make one for L. a while ago. Easier the second time around! Also finished some lovely socks with yarn given to me by my friend Gretchen - it's Noro Silk Garden, and just luscious -- pretty, aren't they? Usually, I like to keep socks EXTREMELY simple, but Gretchen also gave me a pattern, which had those lovely cables running down the outside of each foot. I really like the look!
I do have a project that's been sitting waiting to be finished for prob. over a year - but it's been nagging at the back of my mind, so perhaps it's time to pull it out and finish it! It's a knitted tank top - I've got most of the front done, so I have to finish that, then do the back & put them together. There's also a crochet trim around the hem, so I'll have to see if I can figure that out - not much with the crochet hook.
I know I have 5 skeins of sock yarn coming soon - the LYS (local yarn shop) near my sister had a BIG sale, and she called me and gave me colors & fiber content over the phone, then bought what I wanted. So I guess I'll have a few more pair of socks to knit soon! Whee!
