Hibernating . . .

I feel like a sleepy slug.  No motivation to do anything.  Just wanna sit in my chair, watch movies, knit, maybe play on the computer a little.  And there's so much I COULD be doing - always is.  And the longer I let things go, the less motivated I am to do them at all.  Like cleaning.  Lots of it needs to be done around my house, and right now, none if it is getting done.  I'd probably be warmer if I got up and DID something.  But no.  I do manage to get myself out the door in the a.m. to walk the dog, and to work, when I have to. But beyond that -- I'd rather not.

I finally got my ticket in the mail - bail set at $202, plus $57 admin. fee to take traffic school, plus some other random fee -- once I add in the $35 for traffic school, it's over $300.  And no more online traffic school in San Mateo county - maybe people cheated too much?  So I get to waste a Sat. -- 8 hrs. in a dumpy Holiday Inn Express, taking a "comedy" traffic school.  Figured I might as well try to get a laugh out of this -- it doesn't seem particularly  humorous to me.  Crap.  My own fault, I know, but still.  

My firstborn, S., is getting ready to turn 24.  Dh and I got her a ticket to see The Chieftains this week - I think she's happy.  It was a very spontaneous thing - heard an ad on the car radio for the concert, and hit the computer as soon as we got home to see if there were any good tix left.  There were - so we got her one.  Hope she enjoys the show!  It's so hard to figure out what to get your adult kids for birthdays & such - I usually just ask them point blank what they want, what wouldn't they get for themselves but would really like, yk?  I wish I could give them everything their little hearts desired.  I have amazing daughters - slightly biased opinion, I know, but really.  I was never as confident, as strong, at their age.  I love having them around, love learning from them, sharing with them.  They amaze me sometimes.
